Festivals

Each January, the Government of Rajasthan organizes this exotic festival, which has the camel as the undisputed star. This carefully ornate for the occasion, participating in races and musical and dance performances that attract an ever increasing number of tourists from around the world. 

Festival Bikaner:

Happens each January 14, especially in the Punjab region septientrional. Besides serving to worship the sun, the northern areas of the country also accommodate a colorful kite competition. 

Makar Sankranti Festival

Every January 26, the country attending their national day, coinciding with the date when the Indian Constitution came in force (1950). Among the celebrations, highlights the military parade that takes place in the capital, New Delhi, and running between Raisina Hill and Red Fort. Also, this event usually have the assistance of a prime minister or head of state from other countries.

Republic Day:

By mid February, the states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat accommodate a festival in honor of the god Shiva. In addition to traditional offerings to this unit for four days with music, folkloric shows and magic performances.

Beneshwar Festival:

Each year, the city of Jaipur welcomes this festival. As the name suggests, the main protagonists of the celebrations are the elephants. Decorated for the occasion, the elephants take part in activities such as parades, races and polo tournaments.
